East Sussex County Council

"Excellent delivery, very informative, great approach. Learnt a lot, enjoyed it very much."
- Sandra Wilson, Rother House, Midhurst

We provide training to all in-house staff (care homes, learning disabilities, home care) and independent domiciliary care agencies throughout East Sussex.

We have also provided training to ESCC children's services and the NVQ assessment team.

Carewatch UK

"This course has given me much more confidence. The day was excellent with really good tools given for training."
- Tracey Pasker, The Shelley Residential Care Home, Worthing

The Prescription Training Company is registered as an approved provider of medication training to Carewatch UK – one of the largest network of domiciliary care agencies in the UK.

We have provided training to Care Watch UK since 2003 training their care workers through our practical hands on course and then through self-study of our workbooks. We also provide training to their line managers to provide them with the confidence and tools to routinely assess staff competenacy, as required by CQC.

Our close work with the Carewatch UK lead us to being invited to write their new medication policy, using some of the issues raised during training to present constructive feedback and suggestions to them to reduce medication errors.

Brighton & Hove City Council

"The course content showed all levels of learning style had been considered."
- Ray Arnold, Care Manager

We have been providing ongoing training to all directly employed and contracted domiciliary care agencies with Brighton and Hove City Council since 2003. We are currently piloting a new cascade approach to medicines administration training which is proving popular with care agencies.

Care Training Consortium

"Excellent delivery, very informative, great approach. Learnt a lot, enjoyed it very much."
- Sandra Wilson, Rother House, Midhurst

In 2006, we were approached by the Care Training Consortium (funded by West Sussex County Council) to work with domiciliary care agencies throughout West Sussex to develop a more novel and innovative approach to medication training then currently on the market.

This resulted in the publication of 'The Home Care Workers Guide to Administering Medication' in January 2007, which carer workers received in addition to attending a three hour practical based workshop.

Training was popular and well received by the care agencies. We have since taken this approach over to the care homes sector after we competed for and were awarded the training contract in 2007 and each year thus far.

Bracknell Forest Borough Council

"An excellent day - really open and flexible training. A really good opportunity to standardise our approach."
- Kate Saunders, Home Manager.

We deliver medicines administration training to care workers contracted with and employed by Bracknell Forest Borough Council.

Initially we delivered pilot training sessions to care homes, domiciliary care agencies, day care and respite services on behalf of Bracknell Forest Borough Council. Following this successful initial phase, we have continued to deliver medicines administration training to care workers contracted with and employed by the council.
